Fall Centerpiece Workshop at Lake Havasu Senior Center

The Lake Havasu Senior Center is excited to host a Fall Centerpiece Workshop on Thursday, September 11th at 10 AM.

This hands-on event invites community members to help create festive fall centerpieces that will be displayed in the Senior Center dining room, adding warmth and seasonal cheer for everyone to enjoy.

This workshop is open to all skill levels—no prior crafting experience is necessary. Participants will have access to supplies, along with sample centerpieces on display for inspiration. It’s the perfect opportunity to share your creativity, enjoy time with others, and contribute to the welcoming environment of the Senior Center.

Located at 450 Acoma Blvd. S, Lake Havasu City, the Senior Center provides a hub for activities, meals, and events that enrich the lives of seniors in our community.

Consumer Fraud Awareness Workshop at the Lake Havasu Senior Center

 
The Lake Havasu Senior Center | Meals on Wheels is proud to host an important community event designed to help protect seniors from scams and identity theft.

Seniors, caregivers, and community members are invited to attend a Consumer Fraud Presentation and Awareness Workshop.

This free educational session will be presented by MaryAnn Deminsky from the Office of the Attorney General and will cover essential fraud prevention topics, including:

 
  • Common scams currently targeting seniors
  • How to recognize the warning signs of fraud and identity theft
  • Simple prevention strategies to protect your personal and financial information
  • Key indicators of identity theft and what to do if you are affected
  • How and when to report suspected fraud

By attending this workshop, participants will gain the tools and confidence needed to protect themselves and their loved ones from financial scams.

The presentation is designed to be clear, accessible, and practical, making it ideal for seniors who want to stay informed and secure.
